I take time very seriously. They say 'time is money' or 'masa itu emas'. I don't agree at all. For me, money and gold combined would still not equal the value of time. I would always choose time over money, most people would view it as dumb. So what?
Malaysians are notoroius for not being punctual. I'm not saying all Malaysians are like that, but most of us are... hence the phrase 'Janji Melayu/Malaysia???'. They say, see you at 8 and turned up 20 minutes late... and most don't even feel guilty about it...its only 20 minutes. its not like I'm two hours late... sounds familiar? ONLY 20 MINUTES!!! That how valuable time is for some. Hello...in 20 minutes, anything could happen, you could get rundown by a truck in 20 minutes, I could get fired in 20 minutes, someone could give birth in 20 minutes... late is late, whether it 20 minutes or 2 hours.
It irritates me to no end when people assume when I say 9 o'clock I mean 9.30. If I wanted to meet at 9.30, I would have said 9.30, not 9 o'clock. Simple logic isn't it?
I hate people who are not punctual just as much as I hate drivers who do not indicate before taking a turn or changing lanes...I detest this kind of drivers...so...infer.
Time is the substance from which I am made. Time is a river which carries me along, but I am the river; it is a tiger that devours me, but I am the tiger; it is a fire that consumes me, but I am the fire.
