Penny for your thoughts

Having the opportunity to share what I read with others might also interest others to read...if I find a particular novel interesting, chances are there would probably be others who would too. Even if they don't, it is still quite interesting to see the kinds of responses the story would elicit...either for or against it.
It is universally accepted that reading involves both cognitive understanding as well as emotional or affective interaction between the reader and the text, hence, the process of sharing includes interaction between readers and other readers. It is a chance for readers to express their reaction, thoughts and beliefs based on their background, experience etc.
The process of sharing can take many forms such as through discussions, presentations or dialogue journals.
My personal favourite is through writing, be it journals or diaries. I have always found that when writing down whatever I am thinking or feeling will become clearer as soon as I write them down. Seeing my ideas or emotion stated clearly and concretely in print helps me to understand, reflect and acknowledge whatever is going on inside my head. It's like this. I cannot deal with something which is not concrete. Putting down my ideas or emotion in writing makes them concrete and therefore more manageable. Hey, if it stares you in the face, you've got to deal with it, right?
